With then event at Eugen-Martin-Strasse 1, the Frankfurt project developer celebrated the completion of the building foundations and the upcoming commencement of works on the superstructure. A total of 153 hotel rooms will be created over a floor area of around 5,000 m² – the hotel operator will be the Berlin-based HR Group. benchmark. will be investing almost 20 million Euro into the project, with the opening of the hotel scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2019. The general contractor, AM Bauprojekt GmbH from Leipzig has been commissioned with the construction of the building.

Götz U. Hufenbach, managing partner of benchmark., describes the concept of an apartment-hotel: "An apartment-hotel is suitable for both short and longer-term stays. Guests staying in the city for a short period can avail of a breakfast buffet and cleaning services. For longer stays, larger apartments will be available, complete with fully fitted kitchens." The room sizes range from 18 m² to 32 m². Several of the larger apartments are designed to accommodate three to four people. With this, the Adagio Access is aimed at both business travellers and tourists.

The hotel will be close to the trade fair complex and the planned new stadium of SC Freiburg. It is part of the urban redevelopment zone around the former Freiburg freight terminal. Götz U. Hufenbach sees the central location of the future Adagio Access as particularly beneficial: "The short distances to the trade fair complex, city centre and other local attractions are ideal for guests. At the same time, the project and its hotel use fits very well into the new district development with its residential and commercial properties. Being in a lively district with many different types of use makes it especially interesting for guests planning a longer stay in the hotel."
