The real estate developer benchmark. REAL Estate has purchased a 6.400 m² plot in Saarbrücken, capital of the federal state of Saarland. The Frankfurt-based and Germany-wide active real estate developer is planning to build a full-service grocery store and 200 student apartments with a combined floor space of approximately 10.700 m². The project, located in the Sulzbachtalstraße, should be completed by the end of 2023.
The food retailer’s part of the building, which is planned to be located on the ground floor is going to have a sales area of around 1.600 m². The student apartment’s area on the upper floors comprises a gross floor area of approximately 6.700 m². In addition to 51 underground parking spaces, additional above-ground parking spaces are planned for the grocery store customers.

With the full-service grocery store, we are creating a local supply. The future tenants will benefit from the good local infrastructure and the diverse offers of the district."
The site is located next to the town hall of the district Saarbrücken-Dudweiler within walking distance to the shopping center Dudo-Galerie. The area around the development is filled with several restaurants, shopping opportunities and a range of other services. The site is connected to public transport via the city train station Dudweiler and further different opportunities. The development is going to have a direct connection to the pedestrian zone of Dudweiler’s city center.
